On behalf of the Santa Cop & Heroes program, we want to thank you for your willingness to sponsor and connect with a senior for Christmas. Know that we will do our best to connect you with a senior (or more if requested) as we are able. Due to the governor's requests this year to keep our heroes and seniors safe, the program will shift to a contactless distribution of gift cards and holiday message greetings through the postal service. We plan on returning to the regular gift distribution program in 2021.
WAYS TO BE INVOLVED
Donate funds (in lieu of gift shopping) to ensure each senior receives a memorable Christmas this year. We ask that you donate around $100 per senior.
Click the "Donate" button below (also found at the bottom of any page) to give electronically to Santa Cop.
CREATE/WRITE HOLIDAY GREETING CARDS
Get creative and create (or purchase and sign) Christmas cards for your senior(s) to be dropped off for delivery at the locations listed below. We also suggest adding a personal touch to each card you send. You can include drawings, extra notes, or photos that would go into a senior’s mailed packet; that extra personal touch is loved and appreciated by many.
BE A HOLIDAY FRIEND*
We want to have sponsors and volunteers call seniors on Christmas day. You will be emailed a training video in early December, along with a safety waiver. If you would like to call one or more seniors, please indicate your interest when filling out the form below.
*The “Be A Friend” program will continue on into early 2021. If you choose to consider an ongoing relationship with a senior beyond the holiday season, please indicate your interest when you fill out the form below.
Once we receive applications from the seniors, we will match them with a sponsor (you) as best as we can.
As always, thank you for your willingness to support a valuable and often overlooked segment of our community!
